Solportens policy on GDPR
(General Data Protection Regulation)

On May 25, 2018, the GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation comes into effect as a law in Sweden. GDPR replaces the current data protection directive, PUL, and is also supplemented by national rules.

The Personnel manager at Solporten Fastighets AB is Håkan Svanberg.

The new rules focus more on increased privacy than PUL. That also means that now the purpose of obtaining personal data must be clearly stated. Gathering and processing personal data may only be done by agreement with, and be used for the purpose consented to by the individual.

For you as a person, GDPR implies stricter regulation and better control of your personal information. You have the right to revoke consent at any time and also receive details of what personal data is stored with us once a year. However, Solporten Fastighets AB has the right to retain personal data as long as a rental relationship exists between us and as long as the Accounting Act and other laws require it.

You also have the right to request an amendment to personal data that is being processed. The right of registry extracts does not apply to camera surveillance.

As a tenant of ours, your personal data is used in administrative computer programs, for example, for rental notifications & negotiations, to contact you, send you information and / or resolve any problems in the apartment / property.

In cases where your personal information is shared with a third party, it is our responsibility to fulfill our obligations under contract and law. In such cases, a personal data contract with third parties is signed and we ensure that the data is processed in a satisfactory manner.

We use door access systems and camera surveillance to prevent accidents and crime and to provide safe homes. Clearly labeled signs indicate where camera surveillance exists. The recorded material is used only for the purpose intended and is reviewed only when a serious event has occurred.
